…One effect I love to use, that you'll find in…both Premier and After Effects, is the Leave Color effect.…It's a great way to do a spot color, by basically choosing…one color that stays behind, and then you can desaturate the rest.…You can go for a total black and white look, or just pull…down the color, to make that spot color have a bit of emphasis.…Here's how it works.…In this scene, I have a dominant shot, with a flower that's popping.…But the green…behind it is competing for attention.…So, I just want to be a little bit more subtle.…
Let's choose Effect>Color Correction>Leave Color.…This allows me to take the Eyedropper, and select the color I want to keep.…It's generally a good idea as you're working on that to then play with what…you're going to pull down. Now I'll go ahead and decolor the rest,…and you notice that you can play with the RGB or the Hue value.…So if I set that to Hue, different things are selected verses RGB.…Hue in this case is being a little more accurate to pick that color up.…
And, what I can do is reduce the Tolerance.…
