Intro to the Newton plugin for After Effects

- [Voiceover] In this chapter, we'll recreate the main part of the road crashes scene from the final movie. In this scene, we hear that nearly 1.3 million people die in road crashes every year. Now, I know it's not an encouraging message to start a chapter, but this is part of the movie, and I also think the animation is so cool, and I can imagine that at some point, you will also need to break stuff apart or to create some sort of a physical simulation like you're seeing over here. So, hopefully you'll get some ideas of how to approach this kind of an animation. So, to create this shatter effect, we are going to rely on Newton. And I'm not referring to the English physicist and mathematician, but, rather, to the After Effects plugin that was named after Sir Isaac Newton. This plugin can imitate physics behavior based on real-world gravity and rigid body dynamics. So, in this movie, I want to give you a quick introduction to Newton, and, to do so, I'm going to import an Illustrator…
