- [Instructor] Whenever you're working on a particular effect that has more than one system within it, there'll be times when you want to actually pass attributes between the master system and the subsystems. So that's what we're going to do here in this video. Now let's check out the project. I'm going to go ahead and grab the current time indicator and scrub down the timeline here a little bit, and I'll actually turn off adaptive resolution so you can see it a little more clearly. Here you'll notice I've got this background that we will be creating later in the course that is kind of a whimsical background, right? Well let's look at how this is built. Select layer one, our particles layer, and go to the effect controls panel. If you don't have that, go up under your window and go to effect controls.
