- Apple's Final Cut Pro X is a robust video editing tool, but it also has several effects that allow you to do compositing tasks as well. Let's start though by bringing in our footage into Final Cut Pro. It will allow you to bring in some footage natively, but in the background, it will likely trans code that footage to the Apple Pro Res Codec. Let's explore. I've launched Final Cut Pro and let's create a new library here. This will be useful for this green screen projects. You can use multiple libraries or keep everything in your one master library. But, since I want to keep this independent, I'll just make a new library. There we go. Now what I'm going to do is add to this. Now let's make a new event. We'll call this "Test Keys" and I'll put it into the same project. I can get rid of these here, these aren't in use anymore. So now, let's add to this. Choose file, import, media.
