Importing a static logo to a nonlinear editor (NLE) with transparency
- Once you have a prepped file, it's very easy to bring into a video editor. Let's take a look at Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro X. In Premiere, I'll choose File > Import. You can also use the media browser if you'd like but the Import dialog gives you more options. Navigate to folder 2.5, and select the prepped logo. Let's go ahead and bring in the one here, and I'll choose Import, and it gives me the option on how to bring it in. If there were different layers, I can even choose to bring in a specific layer on import to cut that up. And let's bring in the background as well. In this case I've got a moving background. That looks good. I like that one as well, so I'll bring them both in and choose Import, and watch what we can do here. Let's drop that looping background into a new sequence and we'll put the other one right on top with a little trim. One of the things I like in Premiere Pro is you do have blending modes. So under the Opacity section, it's easy to mix two layers…
