Importing image files

- All right, let's start with After Effects. When you first launch it, you'll need to create a project and then import your assets. When you first launch After Effects, you're presented with a welcome screen. Here you can open a project or create a new project. Let's create a new project here, and I'll simply choose to work with this project now. Now it's a giant blank canvas, so the first thing we're going to do is import some files. I'll choose file, import, file. And I can navigate to where I've stored things. Simply go to your exercise files folder, and if you take a look in folder nine, you'll find a copy of all the images that we've been preparing so far. Select those images, and choose open. They'll be added into your project. Now if it detects that there's an alpha channel, for example when we were working with some of the images here, and we use the alpha channel effect to create ramped blurring.
