The most important thing to remember when importing artwork into Adobe Character Animator is the fact that hidden layers are also imported. How do you prepare your artwork for animation? In this video, author Ian Robinson explains the importance of flattening the layers you need and how to import the artwork into Character Animator.
- While the name warp controls might sound rather exciting,…in this video we will not be entering warp speed.…Learning how to set your warp controls…will actually save you a lot of time…as you begin to rig your characters.…Now I'm just starting with a blank project…in Character Animator,…because we're going to take our Photoshop files…and import them into the project for animation.…So to start let's go up under the File menu…and go to Import and I want you to navigate…to wherever your Exercise Files are saved…and I'll go to my Character Exercise Files…and in the Assets folder I'm going to go to the Psds folder.…
And there are two PSDs I want to import,…so I'll click once on FrontTrees_MS.psd…and I'll hold down the Command key on the Mac…or Control on Window to select also the Trees_MS.psd file…and then I'll click Import.…Now even though these have imported as puppets,…we're just going to use these as background elements.…Let's go back up under File, Import,…and actually import our puppet.…
