- This board that's grabbed is also in need of more softness to look correct. But in this case, it doesn't need Mask Feather, it needs Motion Blur. The difference is that while Mask Feather is something that you set manually, using either the Feather control or the variable Mask Feather that we saw in the previous lesson, for Motion Blur, all we really have to do is enable it, and if the mask follows the motion of the object, then the Motion Blur will match that motion as well. Now there is one caveat, which I'll get to right after I show you this. So, we'll just turn on "Motion Blur" for the layer, and "Motion Blur" for the viewer, and voila, just like that, we suddenly have a much better looking mask. Now it's not without flaws. Obviously, we have quite a bit that needs to be painted back in. The reason that this worked instantly so well is that the camera that was used to take this footage has a shutter that matches the shutter settings in this composition. Now, how do I know that?…
