Now that we've used the Refine Edge Tool to create this nice soft matte edge…that takes into account the fine filaments of her hair, let's improve the…resulting matte a little bit.…I'll press the Tilde (~) key to go back to my normal display, but I am going to…go up to 100% to make sure I can see fine details.…I'm also going to switch to viewing the alpha channel, because that is perhaps an…easier way to see exactly what's going on in these fine details.…Now the new combined Roto Brush and Refine Edge Effect has several master toggle…switches to turn things off and on.…
For example, you can turn off the Refine Edge portion of this effect in one fell swoop.…Now we have just her normal binary Roto Brush Matte and here we have our…beautiful Refined Matte that takes into account of her hair.…We can also turn off groups of parameters.…The Roto Brush refinements and the Refine Edge refinements;…which we haven't done anything with yet.…In the next movie I am going to talk about how some of these names have changed…
The September 2013 update brought the new Rigid Mask Tracker, as well as additional ways to scale up footage cleanly, while the highlight of the December 2013 update was the ability to convert parametric shape layers to Bézier paths, and Bézier paths into shape layers. The NAB 2014 update shows off important new integration with Adobe Premiere Pro and Typekit, as well major updates to effects. Smaller yet still important new and enhanced features in each release are also touched on throughout.
