- [Speaker] Unfortunately we can't just use the file that we've downloaded from the Mixamo website, directly inside Element 3D in After Effects. Currently Element 3D can't read the FBX format, so you need a 3D application that can open an FBX file, and then save it to an OBJ sequence. This is the format that Element can read. Now there are plenty of 3D applications that can do it for you. For this example, I'm going to use Blender. And in the next movie, I'm going to show you how to do it using Cinema 4D as well. Now before I'm going to show you how to do it, I just want to emphasize that this movie, and the one which is following it, are not necessary if you want to follow along in this example.
