- Once you've got the 3D object…in the environment layer set,…there are some settings you could tweak.…It's important to visit how the reflections are happening,…How intense are they?…How in focus are they?…Let me show you some of the ray trace settings…that will give you more believable and pleasing results.…Let's take a look here and work…with this first environment layer.…What I'm going to do is modify that a bit.…So by selecting the object here…I could twirl it down and go to Material options.…
This allows me to change how things behave.…For example, you'll notice the ability…to change from metal to plastic.…As you reduce the metal amount,…it takes on a more plastic-type feel.…A higher metal property is going…to produce stronger reflections.…Additionally, you could play with the intensity…of those reflections so if you want those reflections…to be really strong, take it up to 100%.…
Not so much, back it off.…I also tend to reduce the sharpness…of those reflections so the objects reflected…don't appear quite so crisp.…
