- The Echo effect is one of my favorite effects in the whole program. It combines frames from different time in a layer and can have a variety of usage from simple visual echo to streaking and smearing effects. The result of these effects are visible only if the layer contains changes across time, such as motion of an item in the video. If you separate the foreground motion animation from the background, well, then you can use the effect to create repeating animations that are so popular in commercials and promos. Let's use what we've created in the previous movie as a source for the Echo effect, and see what we can come up with. We are continuing with the same result that we've created in the previous movie. I'm just going to scroll over here so you can see. This is the alpha channel that we've created using the Time Difference effect.
