Depth without cameras (multi-planing)
- So those buttons we clicked in the last movie that gave us access to the 3D properties, also allow us to create parallax between layers based on how far or near an object is in z-space. Now believe it or not, there is this invisible default 50mm camera in your project that you can't control, but allows for this multiplaning effect. Let's see how this works. So, if you're following along on here in my Chapter 1_2 composition. This can be found in the Chapter 1 folder and we saw these layers in the last movie and what we're going to do is really quickly make them all 3D. So, I am going to now click on the cube column and just scroll down. Now, I've got everything here as a 3D layer. And we noticed that in the last movie, when you actually look at a layer, there is additional transformation settings. So, we've got the z value for position. We've also got controls for orientation and rotation, as well as additional material options. Now, it's the z position value which is going to allow…
