Day for night

- One of the most common tasks in post stage is to convert a shot that was filmed in the daytime to a nighttime shot. The main reason is that it's easier to get a good exposure during the day and not have to deal with noise and other issues that creep out when you are shooting at night. Since this is one of the oldest trick in the book, almost a clich�, there are so many ways to achieve this effect. Of course I want to share my recipe, which is based on using the channel combiner effect, which allow you to just channel values for layer using different color modes. Sometimes it's better to process your images in the HSL or YUV color space to get a more pleasing result. Combining this effect with a few more effects will allow you to create a believable day for night look. Let's see how this works.
