Creating & texturing 3D pie charts from Illustrator files

- In this video, we're going to jump back into Illustrator for a quick second and prepare a pie chart for 3D animation in CINEMA 4D. Let's start by looking in the project panel. First thing you'll notice, we have two different compositions. The 01_3D_Pie_Chart already has a CINEMA 4D layer that's properly sized at 1280 x 720, and it's 10 seconds long, at 29.97 frames per second. If we open the Pie_Clean_AE comp, you'll notice this is made up of three Illustrator layers. And this pie chart was originally created using the chart and graph tool for the pie chart. And then, basically, I selected that layer and then ungrouped it and then put each piece on its own individual layer. So, let's go ahead and look at this Illustrator file itself. I'll click on any one of these layers and press cmd + e on the mac, or ctrl + e on Windows to edit the original. So we can see we have each individual piece on its own layer, and then, in order to bring this into CINEMA 4D, all you have to do is go up…
