Creating multiple shape groups

A shape layer can have multiple shapes on it, and I am going to demonstrate a couple of ways of doing this in the next two movies. First off, I am going to select that that pen shape layer I created in the previous movie and delete it, so we just have our rounded rectangle that we started with. With the layer selected, I want to go up to my tools, select a different tool, such as Ellipse, make sure that I have set to Tool Creates Shape rather than masking my shape. This is the default. Click and drag. And again as before, I can hold down the spacebar and reposition my shape, hold Command or Ctrl to draw it from the center rather than from a corner, and get this where I want it to be, say there. Once I have done that, you will see now I have two shape groups as part of this shape layer. As a matter of fact, I will go ahead and rename this back to shape layer1. I will press Return to select it, Delete to delete the name I gave it, press Return again, and I am back to its original name…
