- In our last example we treated the logo as a single element. But it is possible to easily split things into multiple layers inside of Adobe Illustrator. This'll make it much easier to animate. Let's go ahead and work with a simple Illustrator file again. I'll go to the layers panel here and if you look you'll see that everything is currently on one layer. But with the layer selected you can click on the panel submenu here and release everything to layers. Now you'll start to see that it splits apart. You may need to do this a few times for each piece. Let's release to layers and it continues to split. There we go. If I twirl that down I can start to see all of the individual pieces. So now we're going to split this apart. Let's take a look here. I see our different squares and elements and it's really coming together. Let's make a little more room here. And what I need to do is start to split things apart a bit. So I think I'm seeing the shapes. This looks to be all the black bars…
