Creating dynamic moves with overshoot animation
- Moving graphics from A to B in a straight line has gotten to be so passé. In this video, we're going to focus on how to make those moves appear more dynamic and natural in their motion with some overshoot animation. Now before we get started with our project, let's make sure our timeline is active and press the space bar to begin playback. (upbeat music) I'll just press the space bar again to stop playback, and you can see I have a pretty basic animation. If I scrub with my current time indicator, you can see in this one section here, I have these pie pieces scaling up. And honestly, while the motion isn't just a straight linear move, it's still not quite interesting enough. I'd like it to actually have this piece sort of bounce into the scene. That method is called "Bounce and Overshoot," and the easiest way to achieve that is actually through the use of an expression.
