Creating custom vignette presets

- Vignettes can be helpful in a variety of projects, to direct the viewer's attention. Now, if you don't have access to third party plugins, that give you several presets, it's always a great idea to create your own, using After Effects' built-in tools. You can then easily apply this to any composition or layer that you want to. I'm here inside of the Chapter One folder, in my Chapter 1.4 composition. I would like to add a vignette to this footage. This actually comes from a Johnny Cash film named "My Father, The Man In Black," a documentary that I edited, some footage here for you, and I'd like to just add a vignette to it. I could add it to the footage, as of one of the recent releases of After Effects, if you go to the Effect menu, and look under Color Correction, there's an effect called Lumetri Color. This is used quite a bit inside of Adobe Premiere Pro, and there is a built-in vignette control inside of the Lumetri Color effect, and if I scrub this value to the left, we get a…
