- Now we all know that you can use Photoshop to create 2D graphic elements for animation, but in this video I'm going to show you how we can use Photoshop to actually create 3D geometry, and then I'll show you how we can export this geometry out of Photoshop, so you can load that geometry into any 3D application you choose. Now one of the more interesting features inside of Photoshop is it's ability to actually generate 3D models from within Photoshop. I'm sure many of you have probably heard of Photoshop's ability to actually print 3D models now. Well, if you want to create a 3D model, just a simple model, inside of Photoshop and then open it and edit in in something like CINEMA 4D or CINEMA 4D Lite, you can. So, let's check this out. If I go up under the 3D option here, I can just say New 3D Layer from File. And it's going to ask me if I want to import a 3D file. Now I could export an OBJ directly out of Cinema, but in this instance I want to go ahead and create a 3D object here…
