Creating 3D objects with Extrude

- A tool you might not give a lot of thought to creating 3D content with is Adobe Illustrator. After all, most people associate vector artwork with flat dimensionality and not really having any depth. But the good news is that as you're working with this type of material, you can actually Extrude it in three dimensions. This allows you to quickly make 3D-like content. It'll look 3D, it's just not a 3D object that you can rotate or position. On the left is a flat piece of vector artwork, and on the right it's been turned into a 3D object. OK, let's delete that one and just work with this simple star here. Now, it's doesn't have to be a star. It can be any type of artwork that you have that your clients provided, or perhaps a logo, or any other element. Feel free to just put the Selection tool outside the bounding box, and you can easily rotate it to get a sense of energy. Now it's a matter of choosing to Extrude this.
