Create and modify a composition
- [Instructor] Now let's go ahead and create a composition. And you can create a composition a number of ways. You could go composition, new composition. You could use the shortcut, which is ctrl + n on Windows, cmd + n on the Mac, or you could click on the new composition icon, which is at the bottom of the project panel. Let's go ahead and do that. Click on the new comp icon at the bottom of the project panel, and the composition settings panel opens up. Name this one 1.4, create and modify a composition. (keys clicking) Let's look at the settings. The preset here is going to be HDTV 1080, 2997, which has a width of 1920, a height of 1080, square pixels, a frame rate of 2997. We can change the resolution. All we have to do now is click OK, and of course the composition opens now in the timeline, but it is empty, because we don't have anything in it.
