Create a film look with common lens "flaws"

Lo and behold, we have actually improved this shot by degrading it, taking it more in the direction we want it to go by adding lens flaws. Specifically, in this Lens category, this Edge Softness and Chromatic Aberration. Among the other options in the Lens category in Magic Bullet Looks is the most common type of lens flaw, which is the Vignette. If I add that here, you'll see this darkness around the edge and this circular mask that creates it. Down here I can adjust the strength and so on, and this is such a common effect that rather than teaching you to rely on Magic Bullet Looks for it, I'd like to show you just briefly how to easily do it in After Effects. I'll create a solid and I'm going to make sure that it's square. So, if I start with a comp size, I'll just copy the longer of the two, usually the width, and I'm going to call this Vignette.
