- [Instructor] The task of tracking is usually not a simple one, so it's important to analyze the shot before starting to work. Try to imagine the final outcome and maybe create a simple mock-up or a style frame to illustrate the results to yourself and to your client. You want to make sure that there is enough data in the clip for the tracker to work with. You also need to look for problems, like lens distortion, reflections, shaky footage, objects that are far away in the distance, or occluded objects. Here are some common problems and some solution suggestions. Lens distortion, you will need to straight up your shot and compensate for any lens distortions before starting to track. There are few effects, such as the optics compensation, inside After Effects that can help you to remedy this problem. Motion blur can also be an issue, and you can avoid it by raising up the shutter speed. And then if there's a need, you can always add motion blur back in the post stage. The same is true…
