- [Voiceover] According to Tomer Jerbe, who made this movie, the COM.UNITY organization has approached the movie they already had, which was done by a group of students to help promote in this association. The credit on YouTube belongs to a guy named Yahav Evgy. So, before we continue, let's view the original movie and then we'll analyze the brief. - [Voiceover] Technology has become a part of our life. Almost half of the world population is connected to the internet. and around 25% use smartphones. In 2014, there were 1.35 million tech startups worldwide. So why not use it to do good? 30% of people with disabilities are living in poverty. About 730 million people are suffering from hearing, visual, and speech difficulties. There are over 2.6 billion overweight and obese people, and nearly 1.3 million die in road crashes each year. That's where we come in. In 2014, Tel Aviv startup scene was among the global top five. And around 5000 apps were developed in Israel. We support those entrepreneurs that use technology to address social challenges. COM.UNITY. We lead and empower the social tech revolution. - [Voiceover] Okay, so believe it or not, but this was the brief, yes. This is what the client sent and he only asked Homer that he will update and refine it to fit more of the current script that they wrote. The good news is that the client already agreed that this should be an infographic movie, and entrusted Tomer to redesign the images so they will communicate better. But as you'll see in the next movie, Tomer took it much further. Not only he reordered the text and found more data to present, he also refreshed the whole graphic language and built some new images that better described the company message. Like with any product or service, the best way to understand it is to ask questions. So in this case, the first and most important thing is to understand what the client is doing or selling. So for what it's worth, the COM.UNITY organization is a nonprofit organization that works in cooperation with academic institutions and offers support to companies that are using technology to tackle social challenges, just as we saw in the video. You can find out more about their philosophy and activities on their website, www.com-unity.in Now, even after this last paragraph, I'm not sure how many of you understood what this organization is up to. So, this is why they needed an explainer video like this one. Okay, so we've established the reason for the movie, and we also know more about this organization. And now it's time to collect those ideas and design them into a script that tells a story.
