Choosing different lenses

- After Effects's lenses are one of the most important choices you'll make in your camera settings. Choosing a lens will change the way a layer appears in proximity to another, change how you frame a scene, and depending on where images are positioned, even create distortion. In this movie, we're going to take a look at an After Effects composition, already spread out in Z space from three different lens perspectives. So I'm here in my Chapter 1_5 composition. We took a look at this in the last movie. There is one difference that you're going to find inside of here. In fact, if I come here and click on a text layer and just press P for Position, I'll do that to actually the second layer here inside the composition as well. You'll just note that they have different Z position values. So they're spread out in Z space, although they do look like they're in the same position, they are spread throughout the comp.
