- [Instructor] Okay, so we're ready to break out all of our different render passes. And the way I'd like to approach this is that we're going to use camera two as our master composition. And once we have everything set up for camera two we're going to copy that across to camera three and camera four. So for now, let's close out our camera four and camera three comps. Just to keep it organized. Let's just focus on camera two. Get all of our different passes out. We just need to select our our render.
And over in the 3D channels we need to extractor. If we just drop that onto our footage you'll see we have this effect here. And all we need to do is click on any area in here to open up the extractor. And then we can just choose our different layers. So the first one we want is direct diffuse. And the alpha channel for that direct diffuse will be the matte.green.
And just press okay. Now you can see we have our direct diffuse in our comp. So let's just rename that, keep everything organized. And now we can just duplicate that. I think we need five, so I'll just duplicate it several times. Now we can split out the other layers.
So let's select number two. And, we want this to be indirect diffuse. With the matte green. Press okay. Change that.
Our reflection. Which the matte will be the matte.red will be our alpha. And rename that. The next one we want is the shadow matte. And the alpha for the shadow matte is the blue shadow matte blue.
Rename that. And the last one will be our matte. And rename that. Okay, so now that we have all of our layers broken out we're ready to start compositing.
