- If you're looking for a simple way to do black and white, the black and white effect is a great way to go in and target the different areas for conversion. It also makes it simple to have a subtle, duotone effect. This gives you the ability to still control the components of color and then introduce a new, strong color later on afterwards. By doing this, we can really emphasize different areas, such as the reds, golds, greens and blues to balance this image out and get the right contrast. Having independent control is essential to getting professional results. Let's do another process here with an adjustment layer. This gives us more flexibility. And from the effects in presets browser, I'll just type in the word black and get access to the black and white effect.
