Batch renaming files
- A lot of times when dealing with photos from different sources, you'll have a wide range of names. Some may be quite detailed. Others may have a library number and some might just be called, Scan one, scan two, scan three, auto-generated by the scanner. Well, that can be a problem. Particularly if you start to get files that have repeated names. I find that having unique and descriptive names really cuts down on potential errors and makes tasks like media management a lot easier in the future. Fortunately, Bridge has a great collection of tools to make it easy to rename your files. Let's go to that collection we made earlier or just select the images, themselves. Within a collection, you can easily drag to move the images into a new order. This'll make it simple to tell your story. Feel free to put things into what appears to be historical order. But, you don't have to be terribly accurate. I just want you to experiment with moving the files around a little bit to get things…
