Applying tracking data to effects
- There is one more way to attach a motion tracker data in After Effects and this is to apply directly to an effect control point. So in this movie I'll show you how to use this feature. in the previous movie and what I would like to do now is create some dots that draw themself on the screen and follow the horizontal movement of this car. And I can do it very easily by using an effect that will draw those points. We just need to connect it to the tracker data that we've collected previously. All right, so I'll start by selecting the lower layer here, Street_1, layer number five. And first we need to apply the desired effect. So go to the effect menu and then under generate apply the right on effect. Note that this effect has a target and this is what's needed to connect the tracking data. But first I'm going to plug in some values which I know works well here. So I'll start my sampling the color from the sticker. It's a little bit difficult to see what I'm doing so let's just zoom…
