Applying LUTs with the Lumetri effect

- Long time After Effects users might be familiar with the command to apply a Lookup Table. Lookup Tables are often used to transfer information about color between different cameras or devices. Colorists use them to encapsulate their color grades and you can also use them to apply certain settings when shooting Log Footage. You can learn a lot more about Lookup Tables and Log Footage by exploring some of the other courses in the library here. I want to show you how easy it is to use the Lookup Effect here by taking advantage of it inside of Lumetri. In this case, we're taking a look at a shot over in Tokyo, and this was shot on a Blackmagic camera using Log settings. This is really going to be advantageous if we take a look at our Lumetri Scopes. What you'll see on the footage is that it kept the information from getting crushed.
