After you have created your depth matte in adobe Photoshop, you can combine it with a footage layer in Adobe After Effects. How do you import a depth matte into After Effects? - Once you have that depth matte, you can combine it…with the footage layer.…Now, remember, inside of After Effects,…if you've got a footage file open,…it's very easy to choose composition,…save frame as Photoshop file.…That's how I got some of these still images out.…This will make it easy to take a still frame…and then process it in Photoshop to make the depth matte.…Let me put the pieces together now.…In After Effects let's just make a new project,…and we'll bring in our assets.…
I've got two depth mattes, one that I made for Seattle…and one for this rooftop, and I'll just select…all of the choices and click Import.…Now, I'll put the two footage layers in the comps…by dragging them on the comp icon…and tell it to make multiple compositions.…And click OK.…Now, we've got a comp for each piece of footage.…Let's start with that Seattle one there.…I can now take my depth matte and drag it in.…
