- For the letter R,…we're going to use the Jiggle deformer…with a linear falloff and set keyframes…to have our R scale up, spin in,…and for a nice little touch, have this appendage of our R…kinda scale up and shoot out.…Let's first go ahead and isolate our letter R.…We can do this by going to Solo options…and going to Viewport Solo Hierarchy.…And let's just zoom in on our R.…Now what I wanna do, since we're…gonna have our R rotate in,…I want the axis center to be right about here.…
And it's right here right now.…So let's go to our R Connect object,…and disable this center axis tool.…And you can see that our letter R is now over here.…We can bring that back in by just going…to our coordinates of our Subdivision Surface,…and just zeroing out those coordinates,…as well as zeroing out the X…and Y coordinates of our extrude.…So that'll snap our R back into place,…and now we can go into our R Connect object…and adjust the axis center…by enabling Axis modification…and just bringing it over right about here.…
So we'll rotate around that point right there.…

3/19/2015Author EJ Hassenfratz uses CINEMA 4D to extrude 3D text from Illustrator letterforms and animate the letters individually utilizing the very versatile Jiggle deformer, which applies fun, unique movements to each one. Then he adds bright, cheerful textures and lighting to the scene, and composites the final effect in After Effects, incorporating some finishing touches that will make your logo seem even more playful and expressive.
