Animated GIF creation in Photoshop
Over the years, Photoshop has established itself as the go-to imaging application. There have been a ton of really neat features added to Photoshop over the past couple of years. Yet one addition that was made to the CS6 extended version, the addition was the timeline, really hasn't gotten a lot of attention. This has been a bit of a surprise to me because the power of Photoshop can be applied to video and motion graphics projects. And this includes the creation of GIF animations. So let's use the timeline to create an animated GIF. To get going, you will need to have the Creative Cloud or CS6 extended versions of Photoshop installed on your computer. To get yourself started with the project, download the exercise files and when the download completes, launch Photoshop. And when Photoshop opens up, make sure you have the timeline open and if it isn't open select Window>Timeline and that will open up.
