Animate a mask

- [Instructor] Let's go ahead and open composition 4.4, animating a mask. Expand a folder, expand the compositions folder and let's go to 4.4, simply double click it. And then here, you're going to see that there is already some video in the timeline, there is text on a path, and let's play this. You can see that there is already animation applied to the text, and about the only thing in here that is not quite working is that there is a leaf, this leaf right here, that should be above the text, but it isn't. And here is where animating a mask becomes really really important. In the timeline, go ahead and select the video layer. This is the bottom layer in the timeline, and let's duplicate it. Use the shortcut Control + D on Windows, Command + D on the Mac. Now we have two layers that are identical. Our goal here is to put the text behind the leaf, and an after effects.
