- Hello, my name is Ian Robinson, and I'd like to welcome you to this course on using generator effects in After Effects. We'll start this course by generating some graphic backgrounds. I'll show you how to use different effects like the cell pattern effect, and we'll generate seamless loopable backgrounds like flowing silk or how to create some circular repeating graphic elements. Then of course, we're on to actually creating graphic elements. I'll show you how we can tie multiple elements together using the beam effect or how to animate repeating shapes with CC threads and add a little bit of texture to type.
I'll even show you how we can electrify type by using advanced lightening. And I'll show you how to troubleshoot some of your graphics. In case you have some banding, I'll show you how we can smooth out those gradients. Then we're on to map animation. In here, I'll show you how we can stylize maps with gradients. We can add some more detail using graticules and the grid effect. And, I'll show you how we can create some more animated infographics using Stroke, Vegas, the Write-on effect, and even highlight areas with radio waves.
Finally, we'll finish things up by adding style to our graphics. I'll show you how to add highlights to 2D text and even accentuate highlights on 3D text. So, we have a lot of things to get covered, so let's get started.
