Join Chris Meyer for an in-depth discussion in this video Advanced parameters, part of After Effects CS5.5: New Creative Techniques.
In the previous movie we covered the most common parameters you'll be using…with Warp Stabilizer.…In this movie we're going to dive into these advanced parameters, including…this ability to synthesize new edges for your footage and how to solve some common problems.…Let's start where we left off in the last movie with the Framing options.…The fourth option is one of the special features of a Warp Stabilizer.…Stabilize and Synthesize Edges. This says rather than try to scale up a shot,…let's see if we can find any material in frames before or after the current…frame to fill out those edges.…
So when I select this option-- and it needs to stabilize again as it thinks about it--…Auto-scale is turned off.…It's keeping the shot just at 100%, the original size, and instead it's making…up new pixels around the edges based on other information in the shot to keep…it filling the frame.…Still it takes a little bit longer to RAM preview and through some movie magic…let's go ahead and jump ahead to where this preview is done.…
