Adjusting motion blur
- I mentioned motion blur because it's a factor that really impacts how an object appears to blur when it moves around in a composition. By default, motion blur is off but it's one of those things that can really improve the look of an animation. It can also really increase the render time. Let me show you a simple example. I'm gonna make a new composition here. And we'll call this motion Blur. In this composition, let's turn off the transparency grid and just add a new solid except we're gonna make the height a little bit skinnier. Let's go with 50 pixels. And you see we have a simple bar here. Now, what I wanna do is twirl this down and use the rotation property for key frames. I'm gonna tell this that I want it to spin 10 times. And when I hit Preview, you see it does the spinning effect. Now, this is spread out over about 15 seconds here, so there's not a lot of blur but let's enable motion blur.
