Adding a power window

- Another common technique to add is what's often referred to as a power window. Now, you've learned about vignettes earlier in the Lumetri Effect. But what I'm talking about here is building your own from scratch. By using a solid layer, we can actually blend in the darker color. And, thanks to the pen tool, we could build a custom shape. This mask will both drive the vignette and can be used with other effects to selectively blur parts of the image. All of this is designed to pull the viewer's focus to the target of where you want them to look within the image. To finesse this, I'd like to blur the edges and darken them a bit, but well more than the traditional vignette. My preference is to choose Layer, New, Solid and then select one of the colors or shadows, here in the scene. I'll click OK. Now, we need to add a mask. So let's turn this layer off and, using our pen tool, here, we can start to draw. It…
