Add noise via Ambient Occlusion

- [EJ] Welcome to another "Motion Graphics Weekly," where you can up your Mograph knowledge one week at a time. I'm EJ Hassenfratz, let's get our learn on. When creating 2D-style animations in Cinema 4D using Sketch and Toon, or other methods, I always like to see how I can add some more stylized look to my compositions. In this video, I'm gonna cover a technique for adding stylized grain to my objects, by using ambient occlusion. So let's go into our interactive render region here, so we can see what my scene will look like, when it's rendered out...can see that it looks fairly flat, and all of these objects have cel shader materials applied to them. Now what I'd like to do is accentuate some of the features in this scene, especially in the trees, and some of these other areas here, by adding some contrast - and what we'll do is use ambient occlusion shading. So let me go ahead, go to my Render Settings here, and under effect I can grab "Ambient Occlusion." Now look what happens…
