2D wood textures in Cinema 4D

- [EJ] Welcome to Motion Graphics Weekly where you up your MoGraph knowledge one week at a time. I'm EJ Hassenfratz. Let's get our learn on! I use Cinema 4D a ton for creating 2D-style animations because of its diverse and powerful tool set and the fact that it's so easy to turn your 3D scene into a 2D illustrative-style composition with the Sketch and Tune module. The Wood Shader is one of those useful tools in Cinema 4D that I'll be covering that's going to allow you to create 2D wood patterns quickly and easily that you can then use for texturing 3D objects or just creating wood patterns that you can use inside AfterEffects or Photoshop. Here is our bland-looking log. It simply just has some Luminance textures applied to its bark and the actual caps of the wood, or the little sliced ring part of the wood here and here. What I want to do is apply nice 2D wood textures via the Wood Shader. I'll go ahead and load this up in the Luminance channel by clicking on this little Texture…
