A glimpse at some of the additional tools and filters
- [Narrator] We've only just managed…to scratch the surface of what Photo's capable of.…It has a huge range of functions.…It's worth exploring some of these.…With the sphere distortion, for instance,…you can boost the intensity of the spherizing,…and then you can drag the sphere around your document…so you can position it exactly at the position…and size that you want it.…The twirl filter allows you to twirl an area…and to move the twirl center around in just the same way.…
Take a look at the affine filter,…which allows you to produce multiple copies…of your artwork scaled in any direction,…rotated, and moved around as you choose.…Have a look at the maximum blur filter,…that adding a very stylized effect to your images.…Consider creative ways of working with filters.…Here I've duplicated the background layer…and I'm going to apply the detect edges filter to it.…
It looks pretty bad by itself,…but when I change the mode of this new layer…to screen, then it lets us see…through this filter to the layer beneath.…It really makes the artwork pop.…
