Learn about using the Mesh Warp distortion to make a flag ripple
- [Instructor] Here's a picture of a white flag…on a flagpole.…If we open up the Layers studio, we can see that the flag…is on a separate layer from the background.…Also in this document is a Stars and Stripes layer,…and I want to make this Stars and Stripes layer look…as if it fits on top of this flag.…So the first thing that we're going to do…is to change the mode of this from Normal to Multiply,…and this way we can see through it to the flag beneath.…
We only want it to show up…where it overlaps the flag underneath.…So to do that, we can pick it up…and drop it inside the flag layer,…and now it's constrained so that this layer is visible…only where it overlaps the layer beneath,…but of course it is distorted to fit the shape of the flag.…So let's open our Filters studio.…Let's choose to view just the distortions…and we'll drag down to the mesh warp distortion,…and we can put the Distortions studio menu away…so we're seeing just the image.…
We've got four corners.…We can pick them up and drag them.…So let's put the four corners in the corners of the flag.…
