Learn about adjusting the Layer Mask to fix inconsistencies.
- [Instructor] The refine selection tool…did a great job of cutting Alvitia's hair…from the background, but there's an error,…and it's where the back of her dress…disappears cause it was similar…to the background color.…So let's fix that.…Because we output this as a layer mask,…we can tap the layers studio,…there's our layer.…We can tap the little triangle to open it up,…and there's our mask.…So we'll select it, and now we can paint on it.…
We're still in the selection persona,…so to paint on it, we need to go back…to the photo persona by tapping the button…on the top.…Let's choose a brush,…and we want a hard edged brush,…so we'll drag the slider all the way…to the right, that's at 100%.…We want to make the width quite a lot smaller,…so we can drag that down,…and, because we want to reveal the dress here…rather than hide it, we need to paint in white…rather than black.…
Remember in the mask black hides and white reveals.…So let's tap our color button.…We have the color wheel, and the easiest way…to work with this is to switch to gray sliders,…
