Learn about changing the hue in shadow areas
- [Narrator] Let's now have a look at the tone controls.…Here we can adjust the curves,…just as we would with any adjustment layer.…We can tap in the middle and drag up a little bit,…to increase the blackness in the mid-tones.…Because the shadow's now looking a bit light.…We can tap a little bit further down the curve…and drag down little way to boost the shadows.…Here it is before.…
And here it is after that adjustment.…Let's have a look at the split toning.…If we zoom in, we can see that the…windows are looking a little bit green.…Let's open up our tone controls again,…and in the shadows, we can choose…a blue, and now we're going to…include saturation in those shadows.…And we get this blue tint now appearing in…the deep shadows, particularly in the windows.…
And that strengthens our image to quite a high degree.…If we wanted, we could convert this image…to black and white.…Turn on the black and white conversion,…and now we can set the relative darkness…and lightness of the red areas,…the green areas which will include those bushes,…
