Learn how to use Affinity Design, the lightweight UX design tool for the Mac, to create wireframes, mockups, UI assets, hero graphics, and more.
- [Instructor] Hello, my name is Ronnie McBride and I'll be your instructor for this Affinity Designer UX Design Tools course. Affinity Designer is a new award winning vector design application that has quickly gained popularity in the design industry. Affinity Designer can be used to design everything from branding materials, websites, user interfaces, logos, and so much more. In this course I'll start by showing you how to set up the preferences and the interface, specifically for UX and UI design development. Next we'll take a look at art boards. I'll explain how to create, manipulate, and use them for story boarding and organizing your project.
I will also introduce you to the swatch panel where I will show you the various methods for creating custom color themes and I'll show you how to use the styles and gradients. We'll be covering a lot of ground in this short course but after completing this course you should be familiar with all the most important UX and UI related tools and features currently available in Affinity Designer. I hope by the end of this course you'll feel confident and proficient at navigating and applying what you've learned here in your own work. Now with all that being said, let's get started.
