- [Instructor] Constraints give designers the freedom to design web pages and interfaces for various screen sizes without having to worry about redesigning the entire layout each time. Designers can also use this feature to show developers how they would like their design to respond to the resizing of screen dimensions without having to code. So I've set up three artboards. The first artboard has no constraints. The second one has constraints added, and the third one is what we would like to scale our design up to, okay. So if you don't have Constraints open, go up to View, Studio, Constraints. Now let me explain this window real quick. Constraints work on an idea of parent-child relationships. So if you have an artboard and you have a layer, the layer would be the child, the artboard would be the parent.
