- [Instructor] Now that you have your local server environment up and running and your database has been created, the next step is to install WordPress. You're going to want to download and then unzip the WordPress package if you haven't already done so. You'll need to move this unzipped folder into the htdocs folder within your MAMP application folder. So here's my MAMP folder, I'm going to go inside it and I'm going to look for the folder called htdocs. I'll go inside that folder which currently should be empty. I'm going to move this WordPress folder into the htdocs folder and what I like to do is I like to name this folder with the name of the project that I'm going to be working on. So we're going to be creating a website for a company called Banksboard so I'll name my folder banksboard. Now that I've done this, all of the WordPress related files are included within this folder.
