General guidelines of the sprint

- [Instructor] When setting up your own sprint, you'll probably have your own sets of rules and guidelines, but based on my own experience, there are a few that will help you conduct a successful sprint. The first one is set specific times for each activities, with no distractions or other commitments. The team needs to be fully committed for the five days of the sprint. A typically week is commitment from everyone from 10:00 a.m. through 4 or 5:00 p.m., with a few breaks throughout the day, and a one-hour lunch. This way they can manage their inbox and business unit in the morning and at lunch, and get ready for a 10:00 a.m. start each day. This leads me to my next one. Include a tech box where participants need to drop their cellphones in when entering the conference room. Allow specific breaks for people to catch up with their external world throughout the day.
