- [Instructor] Buttons are used to trigger an action. Buttons are a standard interface element for submitting forms, logging out or downloading items. They can be used any time you have an action you want the user to take. Buttons have different states. Default, hover, active, focus and sometimes disabled state. When buttons are grouped with other buttons, typically there's a primary and a secondary button. Primary buttons are visually different to indicate that it's the main action. They can be either on the right or the left, depending on your preference. I tend to prefer having the primary call to action on the right. Primary buttons are reserved, and usually there's only one primary on each page so it draws the user's attention to the action.
